Two ways in, one key. The browser way works on any account and takes two minutes.
The ChatGPT way lets you just talk to her — it needs a paid ChatGPT plan.
Before you start: Frank gives you one key. It looks like
ck_… and it is about 35 characters long. It is the only credential you need —
same key for the browser and for ChatGPT. Keep it the way you keep a bank PIN.
Way 1 — the browser (2 minutes, works on any account)
On the Boox, open the browser and go to clara.phibel.app/portal
Paste your key into the field and tap Open. The tablet remembers it —
you do this once.
Tap the browser menu → Add to home screen. Now Clara has her own icon.
You get six tabs: Ask (talk to her), Briefing (this week's cards, with the
three buttons to decide them), Lesson, Waiting, Team, Log.
Boox tip: the page is built black-on-white with no animation, so it stays
sharp on e-ink. If typing feels laggy, switch the screen to the faster refresh mode (Speed or
A2) while you write, and back to Normal to read.
Way 2 — inside your own ChatGPT
This adds Clara as your own private GPT. You build it once in a browser; afterwards it lives
in the ChatGPT app on the Boox like any other chat.
You need a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus or above). Custom GPTs with connections
are not available on the free plan, and the builder only exists on the website — not inside
the phone or tablet app. So: build it in the browser once, then use it in the app forever.
A · Build it (in a browser — the Boox browser or a laptop)
Go to chatgpt.com and log into your own private account.
In the left sidebar, open GPTs, then tap + Create.
At the top, switch from Create to the Configure tab. Ignore the
chat-based builder — the fields are faster.

Turn off Web Search, Canvas, Image Generation and Code Interpreter.
Clara answers from her own measurements; the extra tools only invite guessing.
Scroll to the bottom, under Actions tap Create new action.
Authentication → choose API Key → Auth Type: Bearer
→ paste your key → Save.
(If it asks for a header name instead, that is the Custom type — switch to
Bearer, or type exactly X-API-Key as the header name. A blank header name
silently breaks the connection.)
Schema → tap Import from URL → paste

Open the ChatGPT app on the tablet and log in with the same account.
Tap the sidebar → GPTs → Clara. Tap the ⋯ menu and
Keep in sidebar, so she is one tap away.
Write your first message: What waits for me?
The first time she reaches out, ChatGPT asks Allow clara.phibel.app? —
choose Always allow, so it stops asking.

Read me this week's briefing. — then just say the first one is useful, the
second is wrong because … and she records it.
What is my lesson this week? — and when you have done it, tell her where it can
be seen. She needs the place, not the promise.
Which of my managers has the most open work?
What has been logged about my use of this connection?
If something does not work
"Could not connect" or nothing happens in ChatGPT: the Authentication is
almost always the cause. Open the GPT → Configure → Actions → check it says
Bearer and the key is there.
The import of the schema fails: check the address has no space at the end

"valid key required": the key is wrong or was replaced. Ask Frank for a
fresh one; the old one stops working the moment a new one is made.
"too many failed keys": ten wrong tries in ten minutes closes the door for
ten minutes. Wait, then paste carefully.
Clara says MISSING_DATA: that is not an error. It means she has no
measurement for it and refuses to guess.
Where else Clara lives
Telegram, in your chat with the mahelya bot — she sends the Monday briefing
there. The browser and ChatGPT do not replace it; they are the same Clara, reading and writing
